Entrepreneurs are people who choose to go against the odds. They see opportunities where others see risk. As a result, they end up having a high level of conviction on what they want done and how they want it done. As the years go on, the staff numbers grow and so do the investment rounds. At this point, the entrepreneur has to be careful not to let high levels of conviction become a “my way or the highway” attitude. This can quickly alienate both staff and investors, resulting in the business suffering. Number one attitude we think an entrepreneur requires is a willingness to be coachable.
